Carrie Lawson (she/her)

I have 20+ years of professional experience in youth development, including as a camp director and risk management director. My areas of expertise include policy development, systems analysis, database management and risk management. In addition, I have a strong background in supporting neurodivergence in the camp community, and provides training in behavior support/response using a nervous system framework that is neurodivergent affirming and trauma-informed.

Camp directors often have to wear multiple hats and become mini-experts in many different areas: HR, food service, maintenance, health care, housekeeping, CRM, risk management, and so much more. I learned to leverage my own skills and those of the people around me, and the importance of using experts to fill the gaps.

My goal is to lighten your load and help with the hard tasks that aren’t your area of expertise. Let me take on the hard projects so you focus on growing your programs and supporting campers and staff.
