Brain, Body & Behavior

All behavior is a form of communication, so we know that when kids are acting out, they’re trying to tell us something. Through this 6-part webinar series, we’ll explore current brain science and what it can tell us about kids who have big feelings and big behaviors, and dive into practical strategies to support and respond to challenging behavior. Understanding how the brain and nervous system affect behavior is the first step in getting to the root of behaviors. It might just flip your perception of behavior “management” completely upside down. A nervous system lens supports all campers but is especially relevant for kids with neurodivergence or trauma history. Think of this session as a starting point to reframe your approach to working with kids that shifts from “disciplinary” to “affirming.”

This is a 6-part series. Live sessions will be held weekly with recordings available to registered participants for 30 days after the last session. Each participant must register separately.
